Friday Fancies - Country Concert

HAPPY FRIDAY! remember last Friday, when i said that this week i would be super happy that it's Friday because of school? that statement can't be more true. hallelujah!

 

anyway, it's time to hook up with {av} for Friday Fancies! this week was an outfit for a country concert -- now let me say i hate country music, so i really wasn't excited, but then i thought about how cute cowboy/riding boots are and totally changed my mind! (about the outfit, not the music.) so, i think this outfit is pretty good for a concert in the country, if i do say so myself.

i don't have an iPhone, but if i did, i know where i would go to get the case for it: Etsy! there are sooo many super cute ones. which would you choose? hmm... the second one is probably my favorite, but i love them all!

i really really want a pair of flats with a strap across them like these - they are so cute! i need to find out where that first pair is from!

 

on another note -- link crew day went super well and the first real day of school was fairly good as well! i'm sooo tired. i wish i could sleep in again, haha! oh school, you're so unfun.

end of Summer recap

it's pretty sad to say tonight is the last night of Summer :( i would have one more day if i wasn't in link crew. oh well. but this reminds me of Dr. Seuss' famous quote, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." kind of dramatic for the end of Summer, but i'd say it applies!

so here's a recap of my Summer

{i went to Abby's graduation in June}

{i went to the pool, but not half as much as past Summers!}

{i went to the HCR and Demi Lovato concert with my cousin in Hershey!!}

 

{i went to Hershey 3 different times in one week in June! that was probably the only time i'll stay in the Hershey Lodge, so i took advantage of it.}

 

{i made plenty of arts and crafts - like this suitcase!}

{broke tradition on the Fourth of July this year, but it was still fun!}

 

{got fishes!}

 

{i got to spend a whole month with Alexandra, before having to say goodbye to her for 2 more years}

 

{we got to meet Antione, the French exchange student. so fun!}

 

{i got to drive a lot!}

 

{we went all the way to Wilmington, NC for a wonderful vacation!}



{i also got to meet family i've never met before while there!}

{of course, had many tea parties!}

 

{had to say goodbye to Abby as she left for her first year of college}

 

{and had to say goodbye to Jennette once again, as she left for her second year of college}

 

so all in all, in was a great Summer! pretty sad because of all the goodbyes i had to say, but what can you do. :/ so, how was your Summer?

Friday Fancies - Road Trips

happy Friday! this is my last Friday in Summer :/ that means, this time next week i will be really happy that it's Friday. but anyway, {av} chose road trips for her theme this week! i don't have my license yet, but i'm SO excited to get it! hopefully next month!!! (fingers crossed!) i know when i get it, i'll want to go on oodles of road trips. anywhere, anytime! without further ado, i think this is a very Summery outfit that's fitting for a Summer road trip :)

i heart tennis

i'm so so glad that i joined the tennis team 3 years ago - it's given me so many more friends, laughs, and challenges. we have the best team in the whole school! no one is ever excluded. and when we have practices or matches, it's more like friends getting together for fun, not just a lame sports practice.

 

 

so this post is just in honor of how much i've loved the past 3 years of tennis, how i miss and am going to miss all the upperclassmen, and how i never want it to end! :)

Midnight in Paris

have you seen this movie? if you haven't, you have to! it's so good. i mean, it takes place in Paris and Owen Wilson is in it - could it be better? ;) it could be kind of dull to some, but it was just the simplest and cutest movie ever.

Gil (Owen) is an author that goes to Paris for his book. he says his dream is to live in Paris in the 1920's, so one night he's walking around and the midnight bell sounds and a car comes to pick him up and he goes back in to the 1920's meeting people like Pablo Picasso and Ernest Hemingway. watch it to see the end!

hey! phew, i got through link crew training! i literally didn't have a chance to sit down and chill all weekend. this feels good! the other day i saw this on Tumblr and it totally reminded me of myself. seriously, how do people go out everyday all day?! well, clearly, i'm a big homebody. ;)
