New Stuff

I'm super broke right now, so I haven't gotten too many new things, but here are 3 beauty products that I've recently bought that I thought I'd share:

 

LUSH Catastrophe Cosmetic Face Mask

I love the face masks at LUSH. I'm a little leary about face masks made with natural products because for some reason they make me breakout, but this one is good. It's not my favorite LUSH face mask, but it smells really good and makes my face SO smooth!

Pond's Cold Cream

I've always wanted to try cold cream, because in older shows like I Love Lucy, you always hear about the women "sleeping with cold cream on their face". I found this one online and saw that the reviews were really good so I found it at Target for $5 and love it. It refreshes my face and I think it's really working for me! All you do it rub it on and then take a wet wash cloth and wipe it off. Definitely recommend -- they also have it for dry skin.

Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal Mascara

I try different mascaras all the time, but right now this is the one I've been using. It's not the best mascara ever, but I do like it! I personally like clumpier mascara and this is a little more clumpy, so I think that's why I like it. I usually get Rimmel mascara, though.

I'm sitting here thinking about random things... I'm not sure why I'm thinking so far into my future, but sometimes it's just fun. So here I am picturing my life (in hopefully the next 5-7 years) and here's what I see:

 

A cute apartment with just me and all my awesome stuff

 

A hamster with me because while I'd love to have a bigger animal, I LOVE hamsters

 

NYC life

 

Busy but calm schedule

 

My own mess, because I just want to live life without my mom constantly telling me how to organize my room

My Morning Routine

I thought I'd do a picture-post about my morning routine! So here we go...

 

 

 I start off with this Clean & Clear Morning Burst Moisturizer -- I like this because, while it doesn't necessarily "wake me up", it really softens my skin and also makes my foundation go on smoother.

Next, I put on my Covergirl Clean Foundation (I'm using Buff Beige right now because I'm a pale ghost) -- I haven't experimented with too many foundations, but this one gets the job done and I like how it isn't too thick or runny. I would love to try some other brands, though.

After that, I brush on some Mineral Wear Powder -- I just like how it will smooth out my face after the foundation. It kind of finishes the foundations job.

Next, I do my eye shadow and eyebrows. I use Covergirl Eye Enhancers Eye Shadow in the Daring Nudes -- I use the black on the right for my eye shadow and the dark brown next to the black for my eyebrows. For my eye shadow, I use the Estee Lauder brush and for my eyebrows, I just use the Elf angled-brush. I just started doing my eyebrows recently, but I love it. It's what my face needed!

 

 Finally, I put on my eye liner and mascara! I stopped using eye liner for a little bit this past Winter, because I thought it might open up my face. Honestly, though, I just think it made me look tired and not myself. So it might make me look like I have too much eye make-up on, but I like it! I don't think I've ever stuck to one mascara -- I constantly change it up. Right now I'm using Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal Mascara and I really like it! And then I just use an Elf black eyeliner pencil.

Man Crush Monday

Soooo cliché, I know! But I watched Last Night again the other night and ugh! Such a good movie. And this guy... this guy is just perfect. I just had to give a shout out to Guillaume Canet for being so dang good looking.

 

Blue

 

I picked up these blue-dyed flowers for $5 the other day and they're so pretty! They really brighten up any room -- plus I think they get blue-r every time I see them!

 

Also, I love having my Nikon back in my hands. I didn't want to bring it to school because I just wasn't sure if that was smart, but I love using it again and capturing really great quality pictures!

Job search

Well, happy Summer (for me)! It's nice being home, but now I have to unpack all my stuff and I'm on a huge job search. I really don't know what to do... I've applied/called/visited all over and have no luck. Any tips??

New York, the coffee shops, Miles Teller, romantic comedy... I really have no idea why people don't like this movie because I'm actually obsessed with it.

Newport, RI

Today I went to Newport and it was so wonderful! It was so pretty and posh. Everyone had so much style and it was so clean and exciting. I'm so used to the gross OCMD Boardwalk and this was quite refreshing and nice! I'm honestly not the biggest fan of beaches for some reason (I know, crazy probably) but they're still so pretty to look at. It was a little bit over a 2 hour drive from southern MA, and definitely worth the trip :)
