right now, i can't stop playing WeTopia on Facebook. oh my gosh it's so fun and get this... you play for joy! you simply play the game and then by playing you send 'joy', you can give water to kids in need, hot meals to hungry families, clothing and education to people. the list goes on!

alright, so i really love drawing with charcoal. i feel like no matter what you do, it turns out well. it's just such a fun medium!

this, however, is probably the best charcoal drawing i've seen. granted, i stopped when i saw this one... but it's SO good.

if you couldn't tell (?), it's Lucille Ball. it's not totally charcoal, but she used even mechanical pencils in this! that's crazy!

Leap Day

happy Leap Day, all! it's so weird that this is an extra day of the year that only happens every 4 years... i mean an extra 24 hours of life. is that crazy? probably not. yeah, i'll just stop.

so i was thinking and thinking of really awesome stuff to post to make this extra day really fantastic! but then i though of nothing. SO, bummer.

i mean, i got 29 cent large fries at Mcdonalds. can you say 'winning'?! other than that, it was a normal Wednesday for me. i mean, why couldn't this day be on, like, a Saturday so i can live it up? yeah!

anyway... have you seen this video? i think it's pretty awesome. the actual girl that sings this isn't in this video, but Justin Bieber signed her, i think. but i like how they are just making this video in Carlos' house and being care-free! fun stuff!

other than that, i hope your Leap Day was amazing! tomorrow is March?! what?!? time flies.

one time, my Nana sent us a card and i guess she forgot it was Valentine's, so on the card she said "Trick-or-Treat" - haha! it was really funny, and weird.

today i went with my dad to his old college (where my parents also got married) and it was a wedding renewal ceremony! but of course my sister was sick, so my mom had to stay home. soo that didn't work out very well. but i was still a nice mass and i got to have lunch with my grandparents, aunt and uncle!

then we went to see some other stuff - see that window down in the bottom left corner? that was the kitchen window of my moms first apartment! ha! she only had like 3 windows in her place because hers was, like, underground.

Friday Fancies - Valentine's Day

hey, all! i'm so glad it's Friday - the week went pretty fast until today. no re-cap needed. but now we have {av}'s Friday Fancies! this weeks theme was Valentines, which i suppose was pretty obvious. i was pretty leery about mixing red and pink - but i did it!

so, the red pants idea was from my friend Abby, because she has red pants. i think i do dresses and skirts too often for Friday Fancies anyway. i don't have anything to dress up for on Valentines, so it's all good! as for the shirt, i couldn't decide which i liked better, so i guess it's up to you :) i used a lot of jewelry and a pink bag. also, right now i love loafers! (those up there ^ are actually mocs. i was going for loafers, but those mocs are cute!)

so yeah! have an awesome weekend! right now i'm planning to go to salvo with my friend, Brianna, tomorrow - so hopefully it doesn't snow! :)

Take Thyme Today

 today my friend Abby and i went to a nearby tea shop called Take Thyme Today, and it was soo nice! it was a perfect little place. my neighbor is actually the owner, so i knew about it but never really got to go. so she talked us and gave us tea samples and it was great!

so i got this mug and this tea! i'm pretty excited about it! i think i'll go make myself some right now :)

i definitely have to go back soon!!

February

woah! January went super fast! crazy how that happens. then eventually we are saying how fast the year went by!

so today i walked to the gym, because one again, it was gorgeous out. and it as awesome seeing how many people were taking walks, and on the rail trail - just like spring! woo! AND it's February 1st. bonus.

oh yeah... and it's Harry Styles' birthday.. hehe ;)
