Friday Fancies - Flower Power

hello all! this week is a great Friday Fancies! {av} thought florals were a great idea this week, considering it's almost Easter and it's spring! i agree - i love florals and i wish i had more. it never gets old!

so let me do it a different way this time - here we go:

1. White Button Down Shirt - i just like how it goes with the skirt so well and it's not totally summer-y like if i were to wear a short sleeve or something!

2. Floral Skirt - i love this! i really love yellow recently and this has so many happy colors. i would totally buy it if it weren't $56.

3. Sparkly TOMS - TOMS work with just about anything and i wanted pink ones for this outfit! plus they're sparkly. i think it works well!

4. Brown Bag - it took forever to pick a bag! i just wanted a simple one that i couldn't find so i went with this. i think a little smaller and it would be perfect.

5. Jewelry - Flower earrings, simple necklace, and pretty pastel ring. hello, Spring!

hope your weekend is starting off well! mine is, but just for the fact that i don't have school today ;) i heard it's supposed to be fairly warm here for Easter as well.. crossing my fingers!

in the mean time, listen to this fantastic song originally by Bon Iver.. i personally like Birdy's version more.. but check them both out!

i got a Kindle from the school library and i'm reading The Hunger Games. have you heard of it? ;) it's actually super good and i'm pretty attached! that says a lot for me because reading isn't number 1 on my list of hobbies. or number 2, really.

hello April!

i love April! well except for allergies. (which haven't been too bad lately... knock on wood.) remember this post?

April is a pretty fine month otherwise. i love the April showers and the feeling of it getting warm: wearing skirts without tights, floral outfits, sunglasses ++

this is what i woke up to last year on April 1st... whaaat? glad that didn't happen again.

Friday Fancies - April Showers

happy Friday! this week seems like it went on forever. am i the only one? i feel like i talk about time a lot on here. like how fast the week went, or how slow it's going, or how i want it to be a different day. i think i need to lighten up on that and just talk about what day it is today. catch what i'm throwin?

anyway.. this week {av} chose a good one! April showers! i love Spring/Summer rain. i can't decribe it, but i love hearing rain on the roof and just sitting on the computer or drawing in peace. ahh :) it's supposed to rain here this weekend! it's supposed to be about 45 degrees though, so that takes away a lot of the good.

i saw a fantastic pair of rain boots at Target that i would have used, but i couldn't find them on Polyvore! argh. i want rainboots - they're so fun. this outfit actually took some time, but i just went the simple route. and look at that umbrella!! c-u-t-e!

ok. so right now i'm really pissed off.

i can't for the life of me find the check my grandparents gave me for a camera. i think i'm about to explode. i hate losing things and i do it all the time. i swear to you, i put in the drawer in my dresser for the simple reason so nobody would take it. not there. i seriously think i checked every square inch of my room and haven't found it.

i'm so freeeeeaking pissed off ughughugh

skirts and smirks

yesterday i got this skirt and i love it so much! i really like how high it's worn and how simple it is. $5 and not even thrifted! it's super duper static-y though - so i kept having to go to the bathroom and put water on it.

and then i was sitting here and i was like "TOMORROW'S FRIDAY." which is really exciting. for no reason really haha i don't know why i want this week to end.. but i'm glad it is.

post birthday

hey all! so i thought would do another post today because i really want to share some things, and to make up for my lack of posts last week ;)

so, here's what i got for my birthday this year!

 a picture of the New York skyline, tea, 500 Days of Summer Soundtrack, an I Love Lucy 60th Anniversary book ...and my dad got me a fish tank

 and then my friend Jennette got me fun paper and this super cute headband and Abby got me pretty stationary :)

and, it didn't come in the mail in time, but i got this Hot Chelle Rae tour shirt!

aaaand... drum roll please....

i'm getting a new camera!!! my grandpa is sending me half of the money for it and i'm paying the other half. exciting!! it will probably be the Nikon D3100, but i want to look around a little more just to be sure. woo!!

so all in all, it was a great birthday! i got to sleep in this year finally haha and it was soo nice out today, so i washed our van and chilled outside. yep!

this week will be good because the 11th graders have to take the PSSA tests, so we get a really long homeroom period to get homework done. yay! and I GET MY PERMIT THIS WEEK! yes.
