for some reason, i don't really like watching new movies. i can watch 1 movie a hundred times, but then never watch a new movie. i don't know why! but this Summer i'm changing that -- i've watched several, but i thought i would share with you the ones i've watched recently. this Summer i'm going on Netflix and i'm just going to close my eyes, pick a movie, and watch it!
It's a Boy Girl Thing
a pretty classic movie where the popular boy and the nerdy girl switch bodies. they're neighbors and they hate each other and they go to a museum where they're cursed and they then have to learn how to get along in order to switch back. it's funny and super fun to watch! i actually watched this a while back and re-watched it the other day, so it's pretty good! i do recommend!
Girl in Progress
this one wasn't great but it wasn't terrible. the daughter basically tries to make her life into a coming-of-age story because she thinks it'll make her grow up faster so she can leave her mom behind. her mom doesn't really care about her and is dating a married man, so she wants to stop being a good girl and change. it was kind of corny and the main character, Ann (she has a long spanish name but it's so hard to spell), is so... what's the word... rude? bitchy? and definitely gets on your nerves more often than not. BUT it was fun to watch and different than other movies i've seen. plus (for any Degrassi fans out there) Landon Liboiron, or Declan, was on it! and his character made me smile :) all in all, it was a pretty weird movie. but the end was quite heart warming, so there's that!
Waiting for Forever
alright... this movie, man! i don't think i've ever cried so much during a movie! i cried happy tears and definitely sad tears. crazy! it's about a guy whose parents died when he was young and all he had was Emma to tell him everything will be okay. he had to move, but then became homeless and he just feels so happy when he knows he's around Emma and he finally goes back to his hometown and sees her and tries to tell her that he's her soul mate. there are so many twists and turns and it's only an hour and a half so watch it!! PLUS, Nelson Franklin from New Girl is on it, Nikki Blonsky (!!) is on it, AND i don't know if any of you watch Hart of Dixie, but Rachel Bison and Jaime King are 2 of the main characters on that show and in Waiting for Forever Rachel's the main character and Jaime is Willy's brothers wife!!!! that blew my mind! Zoe and Lemon!! ...is anyone else this wigged out? so you should forsure check out this movie!
thanks for reading! also, did anyone watch Twisted on ABC Family on Tuesday? i'm hooked!
yay for Summer vacation, am i right?!
