antiques and old stuff

today my parents, sister, my grandparents, and i went to 2 places. one of them had hayrides and things like that haha and the other one was really cool! it was just a shop of some sort. i don't know how my mom found it because it is on a REALLY bumpy road in the middle of nowhere.

here's the hayride. that was fun, but quite itchy!

happy Friday, all! my weekend is booked. let me tell you. first i got home from school, then my grandparents came, then we ate dinner, played some Whoonu, and uh, now i'm about to sleep. tomorrow, i'm going on a hayride and whatnot and then going to dinner. what fun. 

it's supposed to go back up to the 80s for the week. as soon as i bought all of this Fall stuff. so of course tomorrow is going to be hot! great. at least i'm excited to use my new purse!

well at least it's Friday!

it's been too long

yesterday i went to salvo for the first time in awhile! i was pretty darn successful this time, if i do say so myself. ;)

so onward! i got this purse. so cute! i was deciding on this one or a black one, but i went with this one, because i think it's more original. and cute!

i got this shirt. this was definitely my favorite purchase! it's originally from American Eagle, and it has ruffles on the front. i'm dying to wear it, but the temperature is supposed to go back up to the 80's next week :/ i bet my whole total was cheaper than this shirt originally was alone.

i got this belt. i wore it today with just pants, but my intention was to wear it with a dress or something. i don't know if i like it with pants.. it looks good, but it doesn't really do anything. i pull my pants up more with the belt than without. ok - that's not true.

i got a jean jacket! i'm not really into jean jackets, but i tried it on and low and behold, it looked good! so i'm pretty excited to wear that, also.

oo this picture didn't come out well.. but i got this blouse! it's different. it's originally from Chico's and i feel like i know someone that has it. weird. but i like it!

i also got this dress! my goal was to find another flower print dress. score! it's button up and it had shoulder pads, but i cut those out. love! (it's cuter than it looks in the picture)

and this shirt. i needed to find some "nice" shirts. all i have are black or solid colored, you know. i just don't have any fairly nice shirts. so this worked nicely! i really like the way it looks. it's kind of big, but that's no problem! :)

FINALLY, i got this candle thing haha what do you call it? it's just really cute! it's got little blue hearts all over it and it's perfect.

it's even cooler at night because when you light it, the hearts show up everywhere!

aaand that's about it. pretty awesome, huh?! i'm happy with my buys. and all for less than $24!! woo! AND tomorrow's friday! could it get better? i think not.

also, as you know, Steve Jobs has died. he seriously revolutionized the world. i could make a whole big post on all of the things he has accomplished, as i listen to iTunes and check Twitter on my iPod. he will be missed, but not forgotten. :)

today it was so cold here! like 45 degrees. i was excited for cold weather, but not 45 degree weather. and on October 2nd. hmm what are you gonna do.

while everyone's at homecoming, i'm...

so, yes. i did not go to homecoming this year. which for some reason, i really regret this particular year.. but it's whatever. next year!

so first of all, it's October 1st! and the high today is about 59 degrees. so cozy! i don't really LIVE for Fall, but i'm enjoying it as of now haha

second of all, while everyone else is getting ready for homecoming and going there and all, i went to Brown's today and got some fudge, apple butter, and my mom got haystacks! does that not say hello, Fall?

and then in about 30 minutes, i'm going to babysit! which is the extreme opposite of homecoming, but hey haha is it weird that i'm excited to babysit? i haven't watched anyone in a while, and especially these boys, because their grandmother recently moved in about 5 minutes away, so they don't really need one. and i have no money (at all) right now, so this will be good.

p.s. it's raining here. when is it not raining here?

homecoming weekend

tonight i went to the homecoming bonfire and student vs faculty football game! it was very fun. abby and i went out to dinner and then to the big bonfire. it's just fun how spirited our school is and how fun everything is :)

this is me and my 2 friends at the bonfire - i didn't even know they were coming, so it was tons of fun to sit with them!

and then the bonfire came, and there were fireworks somewhere, so we got twice the show! (and the fire was very toasty warm :)

and last but not least, the little football game

tomorrow our football team has a game during the day and then homecoming is at night...but oh yeah...one more thing - i'm not going to homecoming this year. :/ next year FURSURE!

i feel so out of it with everyone talking about it and i'm not looking for a dress or anything, and then tomorrow everyone is going to be so busy, and i will be totally bored. i'll talk about that in tomorrows post!

happy wednesday everyone! woah, maybe this week is going fast. ok - i just jixed it.

today i got home and my mom doesn't have a life so she totally rearranged all of this random stuff in my room and i don't know where any of it is. and there is a complete naked spot in my room that had a table and my dvd's. and by bean-bag chair went to the basement! :/ i don't know how i feel about this. i like change, but not when other people do it.

i even used that bean-bag chair a lot!

ok, so, i need your help here. i know that i've said it before that i love haircuts and sometimes i get cravings for certain haircuts, or just A haircut... but anyway... today i thought really hard about it and i sort of want to go back to my short, short hair! you know, the wedge?

i want to grow my hair out, but i have been told that i look better with short hair and every single day since the first day of school i've worm my hair in a messy-ish bun (minus picture day) but i think i might as well do something with it. i don't think i looked that bad with it either!

anyway, i'll think about it. it'll probably take forever to decide, because that's how i roll, but whatever. we'll see!!

well hello all! on a typical Monday night, this is me right now:

isn't everyone? but i'm still kicking haha i'm also liking the feeling of being excited to see a new episode of New Girl tomorrow night, followed by Survivor and X-Factor Wednesday and X-Factor again on thursday! it makes the week seem like it will go by so fast. ah well.

i have also been listening to my iPod for like an hour. it just puts me in my own world and relaxes me :) you know?

this is where i want to be right now. whether i was doing homework or not, it looks so cozy and away from everything. perfect! i can dream...

well... first of all i have to apolagize. because i feel like my posts have been extremely lame lately. :/ to be honest i haven't really been thinking about stuff to post, so i just think of something really quick and put it on here. ah well. i'll try harder.

i have had SO much freaking homework lately - UGH. i have a lot to do now but of course i got back from tennis a little while ago and i have to shower, eat, and i want to relax, but that's not going to happen. wahhwahh

one of the best things about school, is picking out outfits! is that just me?! well i'm trying to be inspired because i feel like if i try something new, it will look plain weird. i've probably blogged about her before, but i love looking at The Daily Fashionista! she thrifts, like me, and finds really great outfits. sometimes i'll look back at her previous posts from months ago to get more inspired.

just thought i would share some ideas for you guys! ...and i promise to make better posts. hehe

bedrooms

lately i have been really into looking at bedrooms. haha! i want to change my room around, but the only way i can really do all the stuff i'm thinking of is if i get a new, smaller, bed. which i can't. so i just love looking at all the different ways people decorate and design their bedrooms. some of the decor in these rooms give me good ideas!

one of my favorite things are the strands of lights hanging. i DO have those, and i'm glad i do! i can't really see my room without them. i would totally light up my whole room with just those light strands if i could!

since it is my room and this is where i am most of the time, i would like to just make it completely mine and make it amazing. you know? if i could change it, it would be SO cool!

do you do anything with your room that's really cool?

the crisp Fall air



ahh yes. for the past few days it had been in the mid 60's and to be honest it's pretty exciting. my 2 favorite seasons are Fall and Summer, so even though i will miss Summer, i'm excited to dress warm, be cozy all the time, drink caramel apple spices, light pumpkin scented candles, and just enjoy that wonderful Fall feeling :)

i found another good picture for Fall on Tumblr, but i can't seem to find it.. so i think this one fits what i'm trying to say pretty well. but i will try to find it!
