Hello, weekend!

Phew, it's been a long day! I got up for my 8 am and we had about 45 minutes of class and she let us out early. So I just sat around for about 4 hours until my next class. I had a stressful time at the bank, but I finally got my dilemma figured out. Now I'm going to relax for about an hour before I work from 6-11pm. What a day!

Here's a pretty picture of the Frog Pond that I captured about 2 weeks ago, the day before the marathon.

I hope your day is a little less hectic and a little more fun than mine. TGIF!

My Eyes by The Lumineers

Oh, the devil's inside

You opened the door

You gave him a ride

Too young to know, too old to admit
That you couldn't see how it ends

What did you do to my eyes

What did you sing to that lonely child

Promised it all but you lied
You better slow down baby soon
It's all or nothing to you

The glow of Hollywood signs

They sold you a bridge

They fed you the lines (they fed you to lions)
You always confused your servants for friends
But you couldn't see how it ends
It's all or nothing to you

What did you do to my eyes

What did you say to my only child

Promised your love but you lied
You better slow down baby soon
It's all or nothing to you

What did you do to my eyes
What did you sing to that lonely child
Promised it all but you lied
You better slow down baby soon

Have you listened to The Lumineers newest album? I love it.

Rain

Is anyone else like this??

I can't wait for the Summer thunderstorms! I used to be terrified of thunder when I was little. Now I find stormy days the best days.

Happy Tuesday!

P.S. If you're in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Rhode Island, or Connecticut, VOTE! I filled out an absentee ballot while I'm away. Vote for who you want - don't listen to friends, family, or peers. Don't let your opinion slip through!

MapMy(Walk)

You guys, I'm so proud of myself! I've been walking so much lately. I usually go to the gym at night and jog about 3 miles, but it's been so nice out recently. I've talked about the app before, because I use it when I ride my bike as well. I use MapMyRun when I walk and MapMyRide when I ride my bike! It's great, I love it.

I love living so close to Boston as well! Some might not call this "walking distance" but I think you could technically say that ;) It's definitely a pretty walk and when it's nice out, why not?!

Options

Agh, you guys! I'm in a pickle. I know I've gone on and on about Iceland, but now I have an opportunity to live in Rome for 4 months! I would travel around and learn Italian in Florence for 2 weeks and then live in Rome permanently. While there, I would go to Pisa, Sicily, Assisi, Naples, and Pompeii. How cool, right?!

Now my heart is telling me to choose Italy. I feel like I can visit Iceland and travel around there for a week or 2 with friends one time. I'm really not sure what to do. I have some months to decide, but I thought I would voice my rut on here! What would you do?

There is so much to see on this beautiful planet!!

The first 2 pictures are from here and the last 3 are from here.

Link love

(via)

My friends and I are trying to plan a trip to Atlanta this Summer on a very tiny budget. Any tips??

College life as told by Drake & Josh... so funny!

I'm currently obsessed with this song.

This video about free hugs at campaign rallies says SO much about the people in this world.

Have any of you tried this? It looks so good and healthy!

This is SO weird - this guy named Benjamin sits infant of a camera for 4 hours everyday and films himself smiling. Just sitting and smiling. What?! Check out his YouTube too!

I really want to color my hair this color!

A little something about the Boston memorials.

I'm trying to decide if I want to spend money on Birkenstocks! What are your thoughts?

Lovelovelove this.

I want this book so badly!

Have any of you been to Max Brenner? The Italian Hot Chocolate is to die for.

Ahhh the Kardashians are in Iceland! Why didn't I study abroad this semester??

Have a great Wednesday, beauties!

Monday momentum...

**
So true, right?!

I've been a little sparse on here lately! I got a job, so that's been keeping me busy on my days off. I also only have 3 more weeks in Boston before I head back to PA for the Summer... what?! It's going so quickly, it's crazy.

Today I walked about 9 miles total - it felt great. The weather was perfect and I thought, hey why not walk into Boston instead of taking the subway for a change! The walk there was great, but the walk back I got kind of tired of it haha! I walked over to watch the Marathon, though. Man, I thought 9 miles was a lot. They ran 26 miles! I do have to say that I'm ready to put my head on the pillow. I'm so tired!

Anyway, I'll try to post more when I'm not doing anything! Hope your day was awesome :)

One Boston Day

Today marks the 3rd anniversary of the attack that took place on April 15, 2013. I'm so glad I moved to Boston - the feeling of community everywhere is amazing. I love this city so much and I don't want to leave.

Later today I heading over the the marathon finish line for a moment of silence. Today, Boston needs to come together and spread kindness all over! This city is amazing and we need to keep it that way.

Boston Strong!

MFA

The other day, I down to the Museum of Fine Arts - one of my favorite places in Boston! I brought my point and shoot camera because I didn't want to lug my SLR around and it was fun taking pictures of all the details I see all the time. It's fun having a camera to take pictures instead of a phone! I thought I'd give you a virtual tour ;)

(techstyle - my FAVORITE part of the whole place! Amazing!)

(This black thing is a dress!)

I'm actually headed back there tomorrow! I've had a stressful week, so I'm craving a walk around this place again. You find something new every time you go! I also get in free with my student ID, so why not ;)

Have you been?

Stay Happy by Dakota Wint

I was thinking today
That we’re all gonna die one day
And I was thinking of all the things that I take for granted
And sometimes I forget how blessed I am
And I just wanted to say that if you’re ever feeling down
Truly take a moment out of your day to think of everything that you cherish
Go squeeze someone you love
put your heart and soul into that hug
and don’t let go until you both can’t breathe
Go make a friend with someone completely random
Hold the door open for someone
and if they don’t even acknowledge you
just smile
never stop smiling
And if you’re ever feeling lost
take a chance
If you’ve got nowhere to go any road will get you there
Dance
and sing
Like no one’s watching
If you like someone
tell them
Laugh at the stupid jokes only you and your best friend find funny
Laugh until your stomach hurts
And if you’ve ever been mean to anyone
And never got the chance to say sorry
Apologize
Life’s too short to waste your time being a jerk
And if people are mean to you for no reason
Screw ‘em
Be yourself because nobody else can be
And if you want to cry
cry
Let it out
Expectation is the root of all heartache
The best thing to do is to stop thinking
And to just let things happen
And if the world ever makes you feel small
Look up at the stars and know someone somewhere is doing the same thing
and just because today might’ve been a terrible day
doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t be the best day of your entire life
you just have to wake up and get there
We learn from experience that we never really learn anything from experience
We never know what’s gonna happen
and that’s the thing about life
You just have to breathe every moment in like it’s your last
& never look back
& never regret
& always stay happy

Forever my favorite poem and video - Stay Happy

Has anyone ordered Dakota Wint's new book A Nervous Wreck That's Faking Fine? I need to get it!

One thing I've learned...

Alright. This post is about to be very wordy because I want to write something out. I should write it out in my journal, but I'm not sure I have the patience to write so much with just a pen ;)

I'm sitting here, in my bed, after a long day of shopping and hanging out with friends in Boston. I should be applying for jobs, but of course I got side tracked and I ended up looking through old pictures on Facebook. I came across one of my friend Jennette and I from about 3 Summers ago. I remember the time together to well - she came for 2 days and it was the BEST. We had photoshoots, went thrifting, ate at our favorite spots, and had a tea party under the stars. It was the Summer right before she met her boyfriend, and I remember he would text her little, simple things and she would get so excited because she had such a big crush on him. Now, that same guy is her husband. They got married back in June.

CRAZY. Times flies!

I'm just thinking about one thing that I've learned over the years. I always don't completely take in something when I'm doing it. So when I was 14 and 15 and all of my friends would be together and we would hang out and have the best time. I just assumed it would be that way every single Summer - it never really occurs to me that we would change so much in a year. Between work, college, vacations, and just change in general, we all kind of got busy and weren't able to see each other as much.

I just look at those pictures and wish that I would have taken more time to enjoy those nights. The tea parties, sleepovers, photoshoots. Now, we still hang out sometimes and it can even be more fun because we're older and can drive, have jobs, and some of us are 21. It's just different - we aren't the same immature youngsters that we used to be and it's kind of weird. I can't go back to those times, which makes me a little sad. That's why I just wish that I would have enjoyed those times more instead of saying "we'll be together again next Summer too!"

My point is, enjoy every moment. A lot can happen in a year and we grow, move, and get busy. Every year is going to be different, but it can still be fun. Never take a fun night with best friends for granted!

I hope you're having a great night. Thanks for reading, if you did!

How amazing is this? My friend, Emmy, gave me a page-a-day calendar and it was 1000 places to see before you die. This was one of the pages the other day! This is called Supertree Grove. Also, did you know Singapore is the second smallest country in Asia? I had no idea it was that small!

Help the world

Dakota Wint just came out with a new video! I LOVE it. I LOVE him. He is honestly so great and everything he says is amazing. In this video he talks about how beautiful the Earth is, but also how we could either be the last humans to walk on it OR we could be the humans that future people write about because we saved the planet. We have this power to help Earth and global climate change, yet we sit here and do nothing! Do something!

"I want people to walk away feeling better than they did before talking to me"
Preach it, Dakota. I really want his book A Nervous Wreck That's Faking Fine. It looks so great! Maybe I can get my parents to buy it for me ;)

Happy Saturday!
