SUMMER

OH SHOOT. i hate when i forget to post things. i found this in my drafts. :/ just pretend today is June 11th!! :)

so yesterday i was on here and i couldn't think of anything to blog, and then DUH-it's summer!!! yay!!! i seriously feel like a doofus for not posting that yesterday. i was waiting so long for it, and it's here! haha
so last night my friends and i had our annual campout, which is very fun! this picture isn't from last night, it's actaully from last summer! wow! but then last night around 3:30 am i saw lightning and i told everybody and we packed it up and went into Alexandra's basement. (good thing we did, because it did rain by the time we woke up this morning!) so yeah. the worst part of sleeping in the tent is waking up in the morning and being all hot and sweaty and gross. so at least we didn't have to go through that part! haha!

well enjoy your summer! i will most definetly enjoy mine. maybe i'll start it out with a nap later today :)

air and car show

woah, picture overload! haha today my dad, sister, and i went to an air show. it was way cooler than i expected, actually! it was cool to get up close to the planes and see what it's like to be in them. (we didn't get to sit in them and the plane rides were $100. and the helicopter rides were probably like $50. what the heckkk?) but it was neat to see them. they also had old cars. i kind of fell in love with this one:
and then there were the planes... this was a stunt plane! (you know, the ones that flip around and do tricks and stuff) that was cool to think about
this one is so weird! haha it would be so interesting to be flying and your head is actually sticking out! it's like you could touch the clouds. welll...
then there was the big mama. this one was HUGE. you can't really see how big it is in the picture. you could even go underneath and see where the bombs and stuff were. i didn't put those pics up. also, on the side there was a painting of a half naked lady. such a manly plane.

and that's about it. i can't believe i didn't get a picture of this one helicopter! it was probably the weirdest helicopter ever. haha the last time i was on an airplane was when i was 5. i realllllly want to go on one again. the last time i was on one was right before 9/11, so it's pretty crazy. but after going to this show, i'm pretty interested in planes. long story short, it was an awesome time! :)

Summer List - what's happenin

ok! so for my summer list so far i have:

-learned origami

-watched the first harry Potter movie

-gotten into chinese

and i'm so proud! yesterday i painted all of these chinese symbols for my friends and family, and it was so fun! haha now i can't stop painting them. it's really weird. and last night i watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! now i'm really excited to get the next one haha and i learned origami awhile ago :) but yeah. this list was worth it and i think i put some cool things on there. i should put more though because i need more stuff to do :P

now the next thing to accomplish is findind something to make or get for Father's Day! (i think part of the gift might be associated with chinese symbols though :D)

Standing Ovation

last night i watched Standing Ovation on Netflix, and it was good! it wasn't what i expected. i'm going to say, at some points it was kinda random though. like at some parts i was just like, "what is this?!" haha but itwas good!

today is a rainy day and i think i'll clean out my closet and see what clothes fit me and don't. it's really weird because about 2 days this week it's been about 70 degrees! chilly! def. not summer weather. but it's all good. a good day to watch a movie and chillax :)

this is my friend abby and this morning she left to work at a camp until July 31. so this is the beginning of a boring summer. but i will make it fun using my summer bucket list and my other friends! but i do miss her SO MUCH and it's only been about 24 hours since i last saw her haha we are so lame. last night when we said good-bye, we actually cried a little bit. that shows how much we are together. it's going to be SO bad when she goes to college next year. oh my. well just hope that she's safe and doesn't meet someone better than me ;) hehe

i've seen a lot of giveaways for Shabby Apple, so i went to the website and they have so many cute things!! like these 3 dresses. the first one is by far my favorite! i LOVE it. why does this place have to be so expensive?!? bummer. i will one day get a dress from here though :)

baby birds, spongebob, and lady gaga

so you know earlier when i was talking about baby birds in our fern? (you can see the eggs here-along with my summer todo list!) well about a week ago they hatched! it was pretty cool. they were so tiny!

ahh pretty :) 4 more hours of school! i don't know why it's such a big deal... because i'm not a senior or anything. and i don't have a very fun summer planned... hmm i guess i just love summer.
it was really weird-today it was about 100 degrees! and we just had a storm, and the temperature dropped about 15 or so degrees, maybe more. weird stuff. well my week has been pretty lame (besides school ending) so yeah. lame post. haha it will probably be like that all summer.. so i better find some really sweet posts. haha!

last Saturday i went to my friends sweet 16 party and it was so awesome!! (and a great excuse to dress up! hehe) so i borrowed my friends really pretty strapless dress and i put on a sweater just so i wouldn't look naked whenever pictures were taken. i also curled my hair, which was fun to do because i havent sat around watching tv in my curlers in so long! haha long story short, it was tons of fun :)

also, don't you LOVE when you make a list and cross things off as you get them done?! i did that today with my school work and it was so awesome! one more thing to do! (i also have to find my phone... it's around here somewhere... so i guess thats 2 more things...) but i love that feeling when you know you got everything done, which is what i'm feeling right now!

gosh 3 and a half more days of school left. it's only 3 months of a suckish summer, but i'm SO ready for it. school is really getting to me. next year will be better! haha

today is a lazy Sunday, and i love those! so far i've watched TLC all day and i think i'll watch some movies. a few Sunday's ago, all i did was watch The Princess Diaries all day long. it was the best.

oh barbie

so i was looking on Vogue and found this article about Anorexia and eating disorders and there was this thing about Barbie being an influence. i just thought it was really interesting.

there was this picture ^ and i have both the 90's Barbies and the 00's Barbies, and i didn't even realize the difference! it's kind of weird. i mean the first one just looks like a doll, but the second one... is like a body image people would look at. i can now see why some people blame part of their eating disorders on Barbie.

now this ^ is an article i found and it's really clever! this girl had an eating disorder and made this Barbie to look at, to know that Barbie is just a doll, and in no way can anyone really look like her. this is really what Barbie would look like if she was real! check out this video to know more about this girl and her idea! i have nothing against Barbie! i played with her ALL THE TIME with my friend Alexandra before. i just thought this really really interesting and neat to think about.

a summer career thought

the other day my dad asked me what i thought about summer jobs, and i said i think (for the most part) they would be fun! i'm going to wait til i'm at least 16, but both of my cousins worked at a country club and they really liked it. so i think i would apply to a country club! ironicly, someone was talking, and i was eavesdropping, and they said they got accepted to work at the country club! they really like it AND they get paid $400 a week!!! that REALLY makes me want to work there! haha see i think this summer would be a good one to work because i will fursure be bored and need something to keep me entertained. next summer (when i'm 16) i feel like i shouldn't because my friend Alexandra will be coming back from China to visit. it's kind of a dumb reason, so i don't know.

just thought i would share! but enough of that haha hope your week was great!

the week is almost over! yay! i'm just enjoying some Rita's right now, which is always amazing and watching America's Next Top Model. i would be so relaxed right now, but i have a heat rash on my legs and it's killingggg meeeee. ohmygosh. i just wish it would disappear. anyway... i'm trying to be relaxed! haha :)

ok well happy mid week! one week from today, there will only be one and a half days of school left!
