too many thunderstorms

tonight we were supposed to go to a pool party, but once again there is a thunderstorm, so i think we might just be going to dinner. which is okay, but you know. i love thunderstorms during the day, but they are happening everyday, so i think they can stop now :)

my friend Abby let me borrow this dress and i love it! we went on a photoshoot earlier today when it was sunshiny and perfect, so i will show you some of those pictures in another post.

i was also looking through my webcam photos and saw some good ones with my dog, Cody, so i took a few more with him - because i'm lame. but isn't he cute!?!

i found this app a little while ago and it's so fun! you can crop your face and then they have several hairstyles to choose from. it was mostly fun to just play around with it haha here are 2 styles

and then this one was one of the man styles that i just had to try hahaha!

Bath & Body Works

today my friend Abby and Emmy went to the mall, which i surprisingly haven't been to in a REALLY long time! it was really fun. we just kind of looked in some stores and went to Jimmy John's for lunch and were going to go to Ulta, but we'll do that some other time. anyway, it was just a nice day.

but i have decided that Japanese Cherry Blossom is my new favorite scent! i LOVE it! i have always loved it, but i sprayed it on my wrist and i can't stop smelling it. so they had these $5 bottles, and i had to get it!

i also got a Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin candle, and i love the smell. i can't wait to light it around Halloween time. it makes me really excited for Fall, even though i don't want Summer to end :)

oh, and keep checking out my Tumblr! i have 12 followers!! pretty exciting.

today it's raining here in PA, which is good for a few reasons. i don't have to water my neighbors plants! it makes me feel better that we left OC because i'm pretty sure it's raining there too. and just because rain is relaxing! you know when it's raining and a dreary day, you listen to certain songs? well i was looking on tumblr and someone posted this song by Kate Nash, and i really like it and think it goes well with the rainy day :)

oh hey! i have been thinking about a new name for this blog. i know this would be the third time i've changed it, but i really like this one: a la mode! isn't that so good?! i'm really temped to change it and i think it just might happen ;)

also, i just want to thank anyone that follows me. it makes me feel so good that people actually look at what i post and rant and complain and am happy about and have me on their dashboard! so thank you :)

OCMD

today (well Friday - since it's midnight) we got back from OCMD around 3:30 pm and i had a really great trip! the beach will always be one of my favorite places to go. here's some pictures from the trip!

at one point my dad and i just put our chairs where the water would just hit our feet and it was so relaxing :)

my sister enjoyed it very much as well. she even got to spend her birthday there! she's gotten much better in the ocean. she even went out by herself a few times. she loved it. happy birthday, Kali!

i made a freaking awesome sand castle. it even has a moat around it! too bad it got wiped out by a wave :/

we went out to dinner at a place called Sunset Grille and i highly recommend it! it was SO good.

we went for a walk and saw peoples boats. they were so neat! my grandparents own a marina, so i used to be around boats a lot, but i'm not anymore. they are really awesome to see though!

and if you looked all the way down the Boardwalk, you could see the farris wheel, which was pretty at night!

all in all, in was a really great time! we don't really go on vacations a lot, so to go on one was really sweet. and being at the beach was even better. i wish i could live there! i will miss it - i'll be back next year OC!!

i have been really itching to see the Eiffel Tower lately! there's so many pretty pictures of it and i know a few people that have been there, so i would love to check it out! maybe someday :)

caves and wildlife

a week ago i went to Penns Cave in Central Pennsylvania and it was really cool! i can't believe i forgot to post about it.

here are some pictures of the cave we went in.

this was the opening (and that's water, so we took a boat inside haha)

they lit it up so you could see better and everything was formed by itself, so it's really neat!

 it's the heart of the cave ;)

the boat was really small and at some points i was afriad it would tip over. i don't really like things like this, so it wasn't in my comfort zone, but it was a lot of fun!

then we went to the wildlife part! that was really aweosme

our wildlife tour guide was SO funny and nice! (i wasn't really trying to be creepy, i was more so trying to get a picture of the "Take a Ride on the Wildside" sign haha!)

surprise.. party!

i have been trying to keep this in for awhile, but i can finally say it! last night, after 2 months of making a powerpoint, making presents, and hard planning, we had a surprise going away party for Alexandra!

it was SO much fun! and here's about how the night went:

we started by getting my friends little brother to get dressed up and go to her house to escort her to the party :) (he was also our waiter during dinner!)

then we took pictures for a little bit (there's the China girl herself!)

a few days ago we made a rainbow cake, and this isn't how we expected it to turn out, but i was SUPER happy with it! isn't it cool?!

we had half the basement as a party/sleep room and the other half as the nice dining room. here's our nice table that we set!

then we went into classic dance party mode ;)

i honestly thought we would cry, and we didn't! we didn't do little speeches about Alexandra - so i think that's what would have made me cry. it really hasn't hit any of us that she is actually leaving in less than 24 hours to live in a new house the whole way across the world. and even though it's only for 2 years and it will be great for her, we will miss her more than anything.

love you Alexandra! tell us all of your awesome adventures!

catching up

sorry i have been gone for so long! i have a lame excuse and didn't know what to post haha!

so i'll start off with something i Stumbled Upon - this is really cool! i will have to remember some of these different ideas for school outfits!

so this week is going to be pretty crazy because i already got to see my friend Abby from being gone for about 2 months! and my friend Emmy got back from New York and finally got a Facebook (haha!)

and then my friend Jennette is visiting for the last time before she leaves for her first year of college!

and lastly, my friend Alexandra is leaving for her new house in China on Thursday. :( (THAT'S ONLY 2 FREAKING DAYS AWAY!! where does the time go?!?)

oh, and tennis started! i think it will be a good season :)

anyway.. i will find something 10x more interesting to post next time i get a chance!
