Anxiety

I don't want to go too in depth with it, but do any of you have anxiety? I know some people have it way worse than me and I don't want to talk like I know everything. It just gets SO annoying. I just randomly feel nervous about nothing. I'll just be sitting watching Netflix or doing classwork and I'll get the largest feeling of anxiety. It sucks!

Anyway, here's a picture of Audrey Hepburn because I wish I was as cool as her.

Hope you're all happy and healthy!

Tonight

Well, I'm feeling nostalgic again. So here's the plan for tonight:

Watch 500 Days of Summer

Scribble a few inspiring quotes in my journal

Read through old archives of some of my favorite blogs

List some things that I have on my radar for next time I go shopping
Life Is...

And maybe heat up some water for tea (even though I don't have any pretty mugs to put it in)

Have a great week, beauties.

Link Love

Only 3 weeks left of school!! Thank God!!

Have you heard of the Instagram account @IHaveThisThingWithFloors? I love it! It's so cute!

You need to get good before you get great. This commercial is so good!

This song is my current jam (take a minute to dance a little).

I love this city so much.

This looks SO GOOD.

Any other Pennsylvannians in the house?

This is one of my favorite Twitter accounts. The Office is the funniest show ever, period!

Hope you have an awesome Sunday! This week at my school we start a thing called Sti-Yu-Ka. It's really fun, but everyone's drunk the whole week. Fingers crossed I don't get super annoyed, super quick!

Missing the person you used to be

Ok, so this post is kind of deep... but I really like talking about it. I was writing about this in my journal the other day and thought others could relate.

Do you ever kind of miss the person you used to be? I like moving on and growing up and all that jazz, but sometimes just looking through past archives, finding pictures from 2011, or reading old blogs I used to read all the time just makes me miss that feeling and that person I once was. When I go through and do all that, it just makes me really want to revert back to that photographing/bicycle riding/vintage loving girl that I once was.

Is that weird?? Do you ever do that? It doesn't bring me down or anything, but it just makes me think about how weird change is. People change so much and there's no stopping it! It's a good thing how people are growing into something moving forward with their lives, but it also makes me a little sad knowing that the people and things that I once admired so much aren't the same any more.

Anyway... hope you all are good. As a bit of nostalgia to go along with this post, here are a few throwback links to a few of my favorite blog posts from other bloggers back in the day (some of these bloggers don't blog anymore, but it should be fine!):

Annie from The Other Side of Gray -- In other words, the queen of pattern mixing and big, chunky scarves! I used to come home from school everyday and immediately check her blog. I really loved how I dressed in high school and she really gave me a majority of my inspiration!

Emily from The Daily Fashionista (now Finding Beauty) -- Hmm weird how most of these are fashion blogs... but I guess that says a lot about what I like/liked! Emily is AWESOME! Her style is fantastic AND she thrifted! She's actually the person who turned me on to thrifting and most of the things that I've purchased that thrift stores were inspired by her! I would check her blog usually more than once a day just incase she posted something else, I didn't want to miss it ;) I hope she's doing really well!

blouse6

Eeny from Eeny's Universe -- I actually discovered this one a little late in the game! I wish I would have found her sooner because her blog is awesome. She would do this thing called the Pizza Adventures where she would make a new pizza from scratch once a week and post it on the blog. I have yet to try to make any, but the Aloha Pizza definitely has my mouth watering!

Amanda from Here Comes the Sun -- She posted a good mix of everything from photography to outfit posts to her personal interests, and it was great! I followed along with her for a very long time! She's from New Zealand and her posts were always put together so well and just plain put a smile on my face. I miss her blog, but I follow her on Instagram!

And there are definitely WAY more, but I don't want to have you reading all day ;) Give me your thoughts on this!

Fancy pizza

Arg! I've been seeing a lot of pictures of these gourmet pizza places/pizza cafes on Tumblr lately and I love them! I want to go to one of these so badly! It's not your average, sloppy pizza place and I think that's so awesome!

Titanic

I'm not really sure why I'm so obsessed with The Titanic... maybe it's not really to say I'm obsessed with it. I don't know. It was awful, don't get me wrong! I just love reading up about it and everything. And of course Titanic is one of my favorite movies, but that's more because romance, hehe!

I found this video of actual footage and it's so interesting! Check it out. I can't believe people actually dressed like this at one time... how I would love for people to dress and interact like this again:

Also, would you ever ride Titanic II? As much as I think it would be amazing, I don't think I would. I'm kind of superstitious though.

PS. They added Titanic back on Netflix again woop woop!

White: April's color of the month

I can't remember where I saw that white was April's color of the month, but it was somewhere reputable! I've been seeing so many all-white outfits lately and I really commend people who take that fashion risk. It's so stylish, but it takes guts! Here are some recent all-white outfits I've seen that I've been loving (most of them are Kardashians, sorrynotsorry):

Even celebs make mistakes - Another victim of the unflattering tracksuit is repeat fashion offender #KimKardashian. She got it almost right with her all white outfit and killer snakeskin stilettos. Next time just go with skinny pants.

Try a sleek slip dress in an icy shade off-white this summer. #streetstyle

Do you like the all-white look or not so much?

Dove Choose Beautiful

Dove has so many great films, don't they?! This one is just another that is very watch-worthy. I think it would be hard for me to choose the "beautiful" door just because I'd be nervous that I'd look like I think too highly of myself. It's great though -- I wish everyone could see how beautiful they are and not worry about how other perceive them!

You're beautiful!

Exercise? What?

I've successfully gone to the gym everyday for the past 19 days. YES! This is awesome! I definitely can tell you that the freshmen 15 is a real thing and I'm guilty of it. After Winter break is when I really started to notice it and I was just feeling really bad about myself. I tried to do small things like only drink water and I even tried MateFit, but failed terribly at it. Once I got home for Spring break I went to the little gym we have near my house and then I wanted to keep it going once I got to school and I did! I like how the school has TVs in the machines and it just feels so good to sweat everything out at the end of the day. Plus I sleep better!

So anyway, I just wanted to share. I really want to keep it going! The goal isn't necessarily to lose weight, but to just feel better about myself. Woohoo!

Hope you're all having a happy day!

Comfort

I'm almost positive that I've written about this before, but it's something I like to talk about! This weekend I went to my friend's house here in Massachusetts, for Easter, and I was kind of out of my comfort zone. It was weird not being around my family and weird being with a family that I've pretty much never met before. So my question is, do you have things in your life that kind of "bring you back to center"? Like, things that you come back to that comfort you and define you? Here are a few of those things for me:

I Love Lucy
I have and always will love this show. It's on Hulu, so I can watch it whenever I feel the need. It's just a show that my entire family loves and it makes me feel so good.

My Journal
I've said this way too many times already, but I really love this journal. Anytime I have something on my mind, I go to it and write away. It's my thoughts, comforting quotes, or even just  couple words that I need to let out. I try to take it everywhere I go.

Mumford & Sons Playlist on Pandora
Not necessarily Mumford & Sons themselves, but just anything that comes up on the playlist is good. Not many of my friends here at school like this kind of music, so when I'm alone I like to just listen to and do some art or clean my room or something.

Talking to my Parents
Obviously. I squabble with them a lot, but just talking to them or just texting with my mom about interior design or something. They are the people that know me and my likes the best, so when I talk to them, I just feel completely myself.

p.s. I lied! I got my keyboard fixed today, so I'm ready to type and back in action!

Go do

Don't be freaked out! I know the title of this video is super deep and dark, but I promise it's an awesome video. I absolutely love this guy. His videos are seriously so inspirational and I feel like he's taking everything I've ever thought and actually saying it. He made the video that I post on here constantly, Stay Happy (link in the menu bar above!), and that is honestly my favorite video on the internet. Anyway, check out this video and go check out more of his stuff on his YouTube channel

Have an awesome day and go out and DO SOMETHING amazing with your life!

5 Happy Things

1. Fresh, clean sheets
Right?! I really hate making my bed, but I do love fresh sheets. Something about them just makes me sleep better at night. I washed my sheets today and I also threw in my comforter, so it's going to be a double good night.

2. Journals
I have a new found love for journals. I started a journal in August and I'm almost done filling it out! I just love having a place to write down thoughts and quotes. On a day when nothing is going right for me, I turn to my journal and feel better. And there's no better feeling than finishing a journal!

3. Survivor
I love this show! Not just because it's a great show, though. I love it because it's the show that my dad and I would watch together every week. Now since I'm at college, we'll text each other while we watch it. It's a great time to wind down and talk to my dad!

4. Sleeping
I'm calmer than most people at my school, and while I'm a night owl, I also love going to bed early most nights. Curling up in my bed and scrolling through Tumblr or watching The Office is pretty much my happy place.

my bedroom :)

5. 1 more month of school!
I mean, duh. Who wouldn't be happy about that?! I can't wait for the warm weather and the free mind with nothing to think about. So soon!

Above the clouds

How do you feel about flying? Some people love it, some people hate it. I love it! I don't fly too much, so when I get the chance to I really take it all in. It amazes me what those planes can do and the view is breathtaking. Sitting in the middle seat is not fun, but other than that it's pretty enjoyable. ;)

What's your favorite LUSH bath bomb/product??

24 signs that you're the Nick Miller of the group -- so funny! Haha, I love New Girl!

Where are they now? The cast from Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide! So cool, some of these are so surprising!

I just want to live in New York.

I need this bag!

Always remember this.

Craving something like this right about now.

I've had this song on repeat for a while. What do you think of it? I think it takes a while to start liking it!

Hope your day is awesome :)

Currently

Loving: That the snow is melting! Finally! There is still a bunch on the ground, but it's slowly but surely starting to melt here in Massachusetts. Also, going to the gym. Lately I've been going a lot and I can tell that I've been loving it because I get exited to go once I wake up in the morning. The machines here at my school have a TV in each, which is awesome because when I can watch what I want it definitely makes the time go by faster, haha!

Watching: Hmmm pretty sure I've put this one on here before, but The Office! Old-y but good-y. I've been watching it on a constant loop in Netflix for so many months and it never gets old. I don't think I'll ever bring myself to enjoy the episodes after Steve Carell leaves though. Is anyone else like that?

Anticipating: A lot of things... but mostly warn weather I guess. I feel like this Winter has gone on for 3847 years and I'm SO ready for it to be over. But we're also selling our house and moving, so I'm excited to get into the new house. Plus, I've picked out my room and roommate for next school year and I'm pretty excited for that, but that's a while away. And this Summer I have a wedding and a bunch of awesome stuff I'm really excited for. So, yeah! A lot!

Listening to: Oh, so much!! I really need to do a music post, because there have been so many great songs out lately. I love it. Whiskey by Marian HillArmy of Me by Bjork, Reflections by MisterWives, Cake Boy by Hoodie Allen, and so many more!

Working on: Trying to be more positive about everything in my life. I really need to enjoy the present and take in all the chances I have. I find myself constantly thinking about the future and all the things I could be doing with my life, and I just really need to take some time to make those things happen and focus on the now. I've really struggled this year with a lot of things and I'm really trying to just be happy and love my life right where I am.

Wishing: ...awkward. This one kind of contradicts my last paragraph, but I wish that I was doing more with my life. I feel like I'm just sitting in this dorm room wasting my life and not doing anything I really love to do. I want to change that, but it's actually pretty hard to change. I really wish that I could go out into the world and experience things that I've always wished to experience. Do I just have really high expectations in life or am I really just wasting my says sitting here at a college I don't even completely love?

Some LUSH Reviews

I absolutely love reading reviews from real people. I never really buy things until I read the reviews of a product. Even better, I love when people make YouTube videos using the product, because that 100% shows the result of the product. Unfortunately, I don't really want to make videos AND I wouldn't really want to for LUSH products because that takes away the surprise! So here are some of the more recent things I've used and here's my opinions of each of them:

Dragon's Egg
So I don't want to give too much away because half the fun of bath bombs is seeing what they look like once you drop them in your bath. I'm really not a fan of sparkles, and while this one isn't crazy, it still has sparkles, so it wasn't my favorite. I've heard really good things about this one so I was kind of sad when there were so many sparkles (haha!). It took a while to get going after it was dropped in the water, but it was still cool. Just be prepared to rinse out your tub afterwards because SPARKLES.

Brazened Honey
I actually really love this! It didn't do wonders or anything, but it didn't make me break out either. I would say my favorite part about the fresh face masks are the smells. They smell so good! I would get this one again, forsure.

Stepping Stone
I LOVED this! It smells amazing and made my feet so smooth! It lasts a good 5-6 scrubs I would say. The only thing: don't use it while you're showering! Do it prior to showering or post shower. If you do it while you're in the shower it will crumble and fall apart and waste your money. Just a warning!

The Comforter
This was really great! It's a little pricey, so I kind of wish that I split it in half so I could use it multiple times, but it was still nice. I love a lot of bubbles in my bath and it definitely did that. Plus it smelled super good and turned the bath water pink, which was fun. I would get this one again, but I feel like all the bubble bars are pretty much the same, so I might go with a cheaper one.

So those are the ones I've used recently! Are there any other products you want to hear about? I've used a lot of things from LUSH, so I'd be happy to give you some more opinions.

Blind Devotion

You NEED to see this video! This husband really sets the bar when it comes to love. It's 9 minutes, but it's completely worth watching the entire thing. This is so great. Warning: you'll cry.

19!

Today is my 19th birthday! I can't believe how fast time is going. It's a little weird being at college and having to celebrate here, but I'm so grateful for everyone who's making my day so special.

MateFit

Have any of you tried MateFit? I'm currently on day 6 and have some mixed emotions about it. I definitely know that you have to do more in order to see results -- you have to clean up your diet and workout at least 30 minutes a day. I know a lot of people start seeing results within a few days, but I'm not seeing much of anything. I'm only drinking water (along with the tea) everyday and I do some sort of exercise every night. I think I need to do more cardio, so I'll try more of that. Anyway, I'd love to hear your thoughts about it!
